LEGO® Serious Play® Certifications FAQ

What is the difference between the Foundational and Advanced Certifications?

Both certifications share the same 40+ hours of self-paced online content, individualized Q&A feedback, bonus modules, ready-to-use session plans and the official certificate.

The Advanced Certification adds two 2-hour live online sessions with experienced facilitators, where you practice more complex techniques, build your global network and experience a session from the participant’s perspective.

Can I start with Foundational and upgrade to Advanced later?

Absolutely. Many participants begin with the Foundational Certification to grasp the core LEGO® Serious Play® methodology, and later upgrade to the Advanced Certification to dive deeper into strategy-level facilitation.

If you’re not yet sure whether to commit to the Advanced level right away, you can enrol in Foundational now and upgrade when you’re ready — your investment supports both paths.

Is the certification online and self-paced?

Yes. The core training is 100% online and self-paced — videos, interactive content and downloadable session plans you can work through whenever suits you. The Advanced Certification adds scheduled live online classes on top.

What’s included in the certification training?

40+ hours of curated content and videos, individualized Q&A sessions with tutor feedback, bonus marketing and academic modules, ready-to-use session plans, and an official certificate of attainment and badge.

How long do I have access to the course?

You get 12 months’ access to the e-learning platform and all of its resources — revisit the material as many times as you like within the full year.

Who is this certification designed for?

Consultants, HR and L&D leaders, academics, coaches and facilitators who want to run LEGO® Serious Play® sessions that drive innovation, problem-solving and team alignment. No prior experience with the method is required.

Do I need to be “creative” to facilitate LEGO® Serious Play®?

No. The methodology is structured and step-by-step — you don’t need to be “creative” or good at building. The training gives you the framework, techniques and session plans to facilitate with confidence.

Where can I find current pricing and any active promotions?

Current pricing is shown on this page (Foundational $750, Advanced $1,300, in USD). Active promotions, when running, appear in the banner at the top of the site.
